Re: My lifestyle questions
Blockbuster or Netflix or On-demand?
None of the above. Videos from my local independent video store. Movies on TV (generally Turner Classic movies). Occasionally buy videos on-line
Do you love Adobe or Microsoft?
Adobe is much more readable if that's what you mean.
Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?
Dark, hands down
Listen to podcasts?
I'm not even sure what a podcast is, so evidently not.
Ever buy a ringtone?
I assume that has to do with cell phones and I don't have one.
Buy CDs?
Too many. I love music.
Alphabetize CDs?
Yes, well, that's how they are generally organized: category (jazz, blues, reggae, all the rest), then alphabetized. Most of the time though they are out of control.
Recycle?
I try to but don't do as much as I should.
Use CFLs (Compact Flourescent Lightbulbs)?
I don't think so.
Garden?
No. Although I can appreciate those who do. My dad was always a big gardener.
How often do you pack lunch for work?
It varies. Some weeks every day. Other weeks, not at all.
Take public transportation?
Absolutely. I'm all for it. I live close enough to work now that I don't have to take the bus, unless the weather is really bad and I will. Otherwise, if public transport will take me somewhere (especially where a car will be a hassle, I'll take it). I wish I didn't have to own a car.
Amazon.com or library?
I'd say library, but me and the Denver library are no longer on good terms (they kept saying I was bringing materials back late, when I didn't, and I refuse to pay the late fees for something I didn't do, so I don't check out materials anymore). So Amazon gets some of my business.
How many lists do you make in a week?
Maybe one or two. I am not a compulsive list maker but occasionally will do them.
What’s the most interesting thing you know about someone(living or dead) in your family?
I don't know. My mom and dad had the same first name and they were married on his birthday.

no need to
Recycle?
a fanatic
Use CFLs (Compact Flourescent Lightbulbs)?
got a few the HD box had for pennies on Green Day Those incandescents will be outlawed shortly
Garden?
perennials only
How often do you pack lunch for work?
have never packed a lunch since Mom made it back in HS
Take public transportation?
when I worked in The City, took 2 trains, a ferry and 20 minute walk. I don't work there anymore and am I'm no longer as svelt as I once was either.
A month ago I lashed out at the oil companies and instead of driving 120 miles to Phily, I took 3 trains to get to the Amtrak depot. I took 4 hours for the trip versus 1:45 driving. I'll not be doing that for a long long time.
Amazon.com or library?
eBay
How many lists do you make in a week?
what's important - how of the items do you actually get to. Generally, half, excluding the added items that I end up doing that weren't on the list.
What’s the most interesting thing you know about someone(living or dead) in your family?
Hah - great grandpa Johann left his family in Germany to come over here to start a new life - when he was ready, Great Granny refused to follow - so he left her behind and started another family over here. Does that mean I'm not legit?
Cousin Ray - 5-6 place in the '51 NCAAs, 4th in '52. USAF pilot shot down 4/2/65 over Nam and spent 7.5 years a POW. Has worked in the POW/MIA recovery program ever since returning.

How many lists do you make in a week? The question is how many do I make then actually follow them!
What?s the most interesting thing you know about someone (living or dead) in your family? My brother was a 3X PA State Champ. Does that count? I think I once was told I was related to Dolly Madison- yes, of donut fame- but also more for her role as First Lady to James Madison.

Both sides of the house too - Menheusen maternally and pops was from Reutlingen in the heart of Bavaria. With the excellent birth records kept in Germany I've been able to trace the family back to 1557.

Zingers. Horrible, absolutely horrible

HAHA- Actually I've never heard of her ice cream! So, I guess I learned something today!
One thing I did hear about her is that she could throw one hell of a party! ;-)

What’s the most interesting thing you know about someone(living or dead) in your family? This is tough...I'm distantly related to Wild Bill Hickok, though my favorite family story is that my grandparents were married in 1930. My grandma had a job, and my grandpa didn't, so they got married on her lunch hour, because if she took time off work during the depression, she would have lost her job.
