Since he resigned, he won't be fired. Disbarment is a separate question yet to be determined by the Bar.

I don't know about NC employment benefits law, but a resignation may well let him keep his pension. I doubt they could yank the pension if removed anyway, but at least he's getting what's due.

Eh, he'll write a book, make millions, never have to practice law again... Simply stated, he will profit from his crimes, even if it is 'illegal' to do it.
