Penguin's Comedy Club is one the best perks of living in Cedar Rapids. It is on the regular Bob and Tom circuit and I have seen many of the country's funniest comedians there. Penguin's is/was located in a basement downtown. Floodwaters completely inundated the club. This Friday and Saturday (July 18th and 19th) they will be holding a fund raising concert at the Clarion Hotel in Cedar Rapids. There will be many top acts from Las Vegas, Chicago and the Twin Cities. Tickets are $10 each and all proceeds will go to rebuilding Penguins. Now I realize that most of you are too far away to even consider attending. Here's my thought - order the tickets online at www.penguinscomedyclub.com, send them to me and I'll give your tickets to flood victims. They could use a night of laughter.
