I think you're being a bit results oriented. It might not be the best call he's ever made, but it's certainly not a blowup of Matusowian proportions.

The final hand of the ME last year was all in preflop, so even though he did hit a gutshot to win, he was the favorite when all the money went in.

I don't even care any more. I'm silently rooting for Tiffany Michelle now. Without the two big names, I find myself not caring much.

I agree, gotta go with Tiffany now. 24 years and a $9 mil pay day would be pretty sweet. She's been playing agressively so she has a shot.

Yeah, having Matusow or Hellmuth would have been great for TV. I hope Tiffany wins as well. It would have a Moneymaker-like effect on women poker players.

Not to mention that Amarillo Slim has sworn to slit his own throat if a woman wins the Main Event. Now THAT would be must-see TV.

Tiffany Michelle Eliminated in 17th Place ($334,534)

Dennis Phillips raised to 500,000 from UTG, Peter Eastgate called and Tiffany Michelle called from the big blind. The flop was Ad, 10h, 9c . Michelle checked, Phillips bet 1,000,000, Eastgate called and Michelle sat, propped up on her knees for about a minute before annoucing, "All in." She had about 3.8 million behind. Phillips folded and Eastgate called. Eastgate As, Ah Tiffany Michelle Ac, Jd needed serious help. Her top pair needed running straight cards to beat Eastgate's set of aces. The turn was the 5h and Michelle was drawing dead. The river was 6d and Tiffany Michelle's Main Event run came to an end. She exited the stage in 17th place to a standing ovation.

Theres a buzz kill, time to hop on yet another horse I guess.

In terms of Matusow, it seems like I misjudged. When I initially saw it I had assumed that Mike had blown his stack away, and then finished things off going out like that.

Looking back though, it seems like he still had most of his chips left and just got bad beated.

They're on a dinner break right now with 14 players still in. Peter Eastgate leads in chips with 18.8 million.

The final table. Waiting till November is ridiculous. Kelly Kim sat as the low stack from the 15th place elimination. He did go all in through the river a few times though.
