I NEVER allowed that to be My SOX song. That puke ass(Spanish Trans.El Pukeo Asso) lead singer tried to co-opt the ChiSox for his own prersonal gains. This was one of the 50 or 60 songs I was forced to listen to when I was in a worker bee enviroment in the late 80's. All the other employees had already been lobotomized so PABLUM rock was the only thing to stop them from drooling and going into seizures. Let me see if I had the choice of listening to that crap again or red hot pokers in my eyeballs=tossup. Sweet Home Chicago by Buddy Guy is what I have playing in the background of my 2005 Chisox highlights. P.S. Loved the ending (except for the song)

It confused the hell out of me the first time I watched it, but as I sat back and thought about it, and read a few takes from other sources on it this morning I thought it ended pretty well in a sense, everyone was expecting a bloodbath, but Chase rightly or wrongly went in the other direction showing Tony jumpy as hell every time someone would come in, this is the like that he's built for himself, and this is how he'll have to live out his days.

The whole family probably got whacked. The guy going into the bathroom was probably going to get a gun and then bam the whole screen turns blank.

No we are supposed to assume nothing. The blank screen is all the viewers getting whacked. I was sitting in a bar and burst out laughing and kept right on laughing at all the customers whining and complaining that the story wasn't tied up in neat little bow for them. HAW HAW HAW HAW

It was all a set up for the movie trilogy that will come to the big screen in 2009. Blood and guts in high def.

I think the final scene is showing that Soprano family is not much different from the average American family.

We all have been captivated by the family for years now and Chase is saying they are not very different from you and me.

They are eating normal American food (onion rings) in a normal diner and listening to a very generic American song. If you notice, Tony passes up a Tony Bennett song to pick Journey. The diner conversation is just like a normal - how was your day at work?

Meadow's trouble parking the car is symbol of how this fancy high powered family (the Lexus) has trouble fitting in.

Remember, the main theme of the series is how Tony is split between his two families- the mob and his home life.

Tony is a winner at both. He takes out Phil and evidently takes over his assets in NY to become the head of one of the five NY families.

He is also a winner in his other family. Meadow met a fine young Italian man and has a career. AJ is finally normal and seems set in a career. Carm is happy and into her real estate.

Don't stop believin' ... in the American dream.

I'm not a big fan of the show, but I agree with JensenS's take on it:

". . . showing Tony jumpy as hell every time someone would come in, this is the life that he's built for himself, and this is how he'll have to live out his days."

Despite outward appearances, his life will never be the normal one that you and I lead.

I'm pretty on board with Jensen as well. I saw it as the "ideal" american family outing, that Tony couldn't really enjoy because he's always looking over his shoulder.
