At one point we lived near Ft. Erwin, the Army's National Training Center. While it was not too unusual to be driving near the fort and have to share the road with a tank, it never stopped being startling.

I was driving on I-35 through Wichita early one Sunday morning in the late '80s when I saw a jet fighter in my rear view mirror. He screamed by me, got out in front of me about a half mile and then went completely vertical until I couldn't see him. To this day, I believe he was trying to scare the crap out of me (which he did).

Can you get anymore ironic than telling someone that they need a sense of humor, yet you seem to be irked by what I say?

As for the rest, deal with it. If they want to kick my ass off from here then let them, otherwise, deal with it or hit the ignore button on me.

It's deplorable what Bush did, and I think it fit well with that picture; more should know about it.

I had a sales manager that used to say something similar.

He said, "Everyone has the right to be an a-hole. Some people choose to exercise that right."

Back to the first pic, my cousin (who was a tank commander) told me about how there was an unwritten rule on the range at Fort Riley that the tanks not fire at the deer. However, he admitted to sending a few shells and .50cal rounds in the deer's direction, just to see what would happen.

If being an "A-hole" means that someone posts a picture of a military tank (inherently political, as it is an arm of government and used by many to divide us as "supporters of the military) and says "Caption this," and I oblige by posting a "caption" to it (in short, the caption from the video is "Where's the WMD's?") and try to raise awareness of what this "president" has done to our soldiers, then yes, strike me down Lord, for I am an "A-hole."

But I sleep ok at night knowing that in this instance. Let's condemn either the person who posted that picture with the "caption this," or better yet, the "president," but not those of us who simply went along with the prompt in the way that they saw fit.

Sorry, but I fail to see where offering an opinion through an open invitation to do so is "warped."
