I see, so mini-mod has a sense of humor? It will be interesting to see if Cappy shows up for the summit.
Didn't return my text message this morning, so, . . . I spoke to him from a bar last night for a long time and he said he was driving the length of the NJ turnpike and would meetup.
I got involved in this late LBI meeting idea latel; Pete told CAP he was coming out east (since CAP always said he wanted to show him around NJ) and CAP said he was going to show him a good time and come down. Had a babysitter too. Pete asked me about meeting at the shore the same time and then I asked Dpara; we were very late add ons to this meeting (CAP and Pete have been talking about this for like 2 months now).
so it was just Pete and I today. I showed him 2 more high crime areas of the inner city (2 of the most impressive in his opinion) and we played golf and went out for food and drinks.

I've always been obsessed with them in all honesty. When my dad moved to the US they came as a family to Newark and as a kid we would still go to church there at times.
I know my way around the bad parts of Brooklyn pretty well and in the Bronx too (to a lesser extent) and I know my way around all the bad parts of Philly. Pete expressed interest in seeing them the last time he was out here and I agreed then to take him.
We spent many hours roaming around in them the last few days - will have pictures at some point. Few people see them - large areas of row houses that were middle class areas many decades ago that are now drugs and rundown houses. Not easy to access from highways; kind of forgotten about areas.

Yeah lets see them pics. I heard you guys were all over the hood.
Philly left an impression, we were in it for hours. We have some pictures from the hood, but not from everywhere. The last one impressed him the most (Strawberry Mansion) and we didn't take a single photo.
Just had lunch with Pete, wasn't planning to meet him today (he's leaving for the airport shortly) but I wanted him to meet some of my work friends since he may join us on our next guys trip to South America
