I got turned on to Lee Child last summer and just finished another of his "Jack Reacher" books. They're just escapist adventure novels, but well written and fun to read.

Flop, since you have interest in The Black Swan, you might consider Blink by Malcolm Gladwell.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've read The Tipping Point, but haven't yet gotten to Blink.

Gladwell has a website here: http://gladwell.typepad.com/gladwellcom/ if you are interested. He hasn't posted in a few months though, maybe he is writing another book?

I'm about to start reading The 17 Traditions, by Ralph Nader. An ode to conservatism it seems.

Ron Paul's reading list for Rudy Guliani:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070524/...litics_paul_dc

It's a shame the writer couldn't be bothered to mention the authors of the books--only titles. I guess that's a subtle way of diminishing Paul's candidacy.

p.s. I do not support Paul although I may have voted for him one time.
p.p.s. I did not intend to turn this thread political, but now that I did, I'm not taking it back.

Life of Christ by Fulton J. Sheen and Ancient Greek Athletics by, Stephen J. Miller. Sheen never disappoints while Miller's book is a nice surprise. Some very cool pictures (fig 97 will wake you up) and info, Greeks did't wrestle of the ground, that was Pankration, wrestling was collar and elbow style.

Apollo 13 (formerly Lost Moon) by Jim Lovell was great. Very in-depth from the guy who was actually there.

Scar Tissue By Anthony Kiedis - By all accounts he should have died at least 5 times. Lots of ups and downs. Plus them being my fave band doesn't hurt.
