I don't know how much credence to give the "unknown source". I've been around firearms all of my life, including owning some highly modified, custom handguns. I can't figure out what kind of ballistic testing could tell, from the fired slugs, what kind of a weapon fired it or the country of origin.

I thought that was weird too. ESPN should be a little more careful with their sources. They don't have a very good track record with that kind of stuff.
