I really don't get the apeeal of this show.
I watched it for about five minutres once and found it totally uninteresting. Somehow it has become a national obession. And Dancing with the Stars seems even worse. I just don't get it.

I have totally lost interest in Idol. David Cook is the only one that should be capable of selling records. Carly was good, but got kicked off a few weeks ago. Jason Castro sucks hard.

Archuleta should be the front runner.

Underwhelming night, to be honest. Archuleta's 1st song was ok and David Cooks last song was ok, but otherwise, it was all below average. I didn't like any of Mercados performances. Archuleta's second was good vocally, but that wasn't his best work. His thrid song was nice, but WAY old-fashioned. The first one, his rendition of Billy Joel's "And So It Goes" was good. Cooks first song was very not good, his second one was ok, but his third was pretty good, a cool little take on Aerosmith's overplayed "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing".

I'll have to disagree just a little. David Cook's rendition of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" rocked. Simon picked a make or break song for him and he aced it. By far the best performance all night with all the pitch changes and his own originality with the mixing. I like him more as a rocker, but he did a great job on this tough number. I think he'll win the whole thing based on that performance alone. Tough for a guy to sing Roberta Flack but he nailed it.

Agree to disagree, I wasn't a fan of that one. I thought Archuleta had the best performance in the first round, and David Cook had the "best" (nobody was particularly good after that, IMO) performances of the next two rounds. In the mind of full disclosure, I'm a Billy Joel fanatic.
