Default NFL to force haircuts or hairnets?

I don't have a firm position on their proposed policy but I can tell you I can't stand to see players with long hair hanging out of their helmet.

Any other old linebackers think about what it would be like to wrap that hair around your hand during a tackle?

This is a weird topic for me, as I played football in college in the early-mid 80's and I was the only one that I knew of who did have long hair back then when I played. In fact, my coach called me "Sheepdog _______" (blank space is my last name). For me, it was all about individuality.

Now, what people think is individuality (having long hair) is not, and it just looks stupid. I also noticed that the vast majority of them are also defensive backs, thus adding to the "individuality problem" with me.

I assumed the long hair of the Pacific Islander types was a cultural/religious thing?
