Default Steelers choose grass/mud


Despite the muddy mess the Steelers played on this year. The owners and players decided it was safer than artifical turf.

I think seeing Willie Parker, the NFL rushing leader at the time, break his leg while cutting on artifical turf had a lot to do with the choice.
