I'm disappointed actually. If you had said 6-7 years ago that the Panthers would have him, then cut him and I'd be sad to see him go, I'd have said you were on crack. Watching the draft on Saturday, I started having a bad feeling that it might be coming. Since Muhsin Muhammad left we've really needed another solid receiver to take some of the coverage off of Steve Smith, and Keyshawn did a pretty good job with the short routes last year. I think Jarrett is going to end up being a good one, but I don't know that he'll be ready to be thrown right in there next season. I'd have like to see Keyshawn stay another year. Especially since our main TE, Kris Mangum, is retired. Too many young/new targets for this season, I think, which won't make it easy on Delhomme to try to get back to form. And David Carr doesn't excite me either.... so I dunno..... going to be an interesting season.

Why'd they cut K-Shawn? Do you think it's mostly a salary thing or have his skills eroded so much that he's not longer a first string receiver? I'm guessing it's the former.

They said its because they wanted to get younger, but I imagine its more of a salary thing.

Any guesses on where he ends up?

it'll be interesting to see if he tries to keep playing. he's said for a while that he wants to get into broadcasting, that he might go another year or two then retire. Of course, that was when he was thinking he'd be staying with the Panthers. He may just decide to go ahead into TV. I thought he did a good job with the draft.

They mentioned on SportsCenter maybe New Orleans, they're a contender, and they've got a solid QB so that wouldn't be too unexpected.

A friend and I were talking and we mentioned Tennessee. They're pretty thin at WR, and we figured that Vince Young might be the kind of guy that Keyshawn would like to play with.
