Crash injures driver

AUBURN — One person was injured in a crash Sunday at 12:10 p.m. at the west edge of Auburn, according to Auburn Police.

Richard L. Manlove, 69, of the 7200 block of South 160E, Wolcottville, complained of chest pain following the crash. He was transported by EMS to DeKalb Memorial Hospital.

Manlove was driving his 1997 Saturn SSL eastbound on S.R. 8 when his car was struck by 1997 Acura IGL driven by Kenton C. Miller, 22, of the 400 block of Hawthorne Place, Auburn. Manlove’s vehicle spun around and came to a stop facing westbound.

Miller told police he was turning left onto Smaltz Way from S.R. 8 and did not see Manlove’s car.

Total damage is estimated at $5,001-$10,000.
