They did a nice job with the various Charlie reactions, Ben was hilarious, Locke is finally back to being awesome, and Jack showing signs of why he wound up nutty in the flashforward in the season 3 finale.
They better have a good explanation for this goofy Jacob angle though. I didn't like how they did it last year when they introduced him, so I guess I'll just wait and see on that one.

He was such a major character and story line in season one, now he doesn't seem to matter.
I'm not convinced the writers know where they are going with this whole thing.

They've convinced me that they've known all along what the general storyline was going to be. Especially as of last year, when they decided exactly how many seasons it was going to last, and they have it mapped out. There have been some small character things that have had to change, but for the most part they have been following a plan.
One twist, however, that is throwing them is what to do with the character Richard, since that actor has been in that show Cane with Jimmy Smits. They said they had more plans for him but that might have to be modified some if he can't spend as much time shooting.

So I watched all of season 1 and part of season 2 but i totally missed everything between then and now. The recap didn't say what happened to Walt... does anyone want to fill me in?

At the end of each show I just go "WTF?" and try to go to bed.
