Anyway, cool photos. | Well, it grew on me as the day went by. They sold a ton. And I talked to the committee that changed the design. They really wanted to put it on a black shirt, but the company doing the printing couldn't really make it work. They were doing them as a sort of heat transfer, and they had different types of shirts, hoodies, etc, that everyone could choose. The black shirts were a lot more expensive. The "higher ups" at my school were trying to figure out a way to make it work because they really liked it on the black. They wanted to do something like order them all in black for the dancers from our school, but it ended up not working out.
Oh well. It was still pretty neat. I had a lot of people come up to me throughout the day saying how much they liked it. So I just went with and tried not to say, well, that's not what my original design looked like.

The scary thing is that my wig is actually a more "tame" style compared to most of the others.
As I said earlier, can't take pics during the competition so these are some random shots around the hotel halfway through the day with the first round of medals...

*sigh* closeup of the wig.
and.... the HARDWARE!

I think I'm finally recovered. But it'll be a couple of months before I'm ready to do all that again.
Following up on the results, in my 3 solo dances I got two 1sts and a 2nd. Then my 4-hand team got 3rd and my 8-hand got 2nd.
The best consequence of all that is now I get to move up to the next level in 2 of my dances. (stupid reel. judge's comments were that my arms were too far forward)
All in all, quite a good experience.
Riverdance and Lord of the Dance shows are currently on tour so I recommend anyone who has the opportunity to go see them. You'll be hooked!

Anyway, congrats on medaling. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
