What a shame. I loved The 50's, and more recently read his biography of Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

I enjoyed "The 50's" as well. Only one his books I've read was "Breaks of the Game" and that was fantastic.

The Best and the Brightest (1972) is an account by journalist David Halberstam of the origins of the Vietnam War. Great book. Read it when i was still worried about getting drafted.
