    Default Drugs in MLB

Oh this report is going to be a doozy. It will hit the net this PM.

"NEW YORK - Judgment Day arrived for baseball?s steroids era, with the Mitchell report set to be released and posted on the Internet for all to see.

The Mitchell Report exposes a ?serious drug culture within baseball, from top to bottom,? fingers MVPs and All-Stars

The report by former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell will include names of 60 to 80 players linked to performance-enhancing substances and plenty more information that exposes ?deep problems? afflicting the sport, one of two sources with knowledge of the findings told the AP.

Much of the first part of the report will be based on evidence obtained from former New York Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski, and from information gleaned from the Albany district attorney?s investigation into illegal drug distribution that focused on Signature Pharmacy of Orlando, Fla., the sources said."

Now you've got the TWO biggest names in baseball for the past 20 years scandalized.

    8 pages on Clemens

A lot focuses on the Yankee and Mets clubhouses. No west coast poop outside of BB? Coincidental how the author is from the Red Sox. Of course no poo on Clemens in his Red Sox days.

What's it all mean ? Will they stick an asterisk next Clemens Cy Young awards in the record book ?

Kinda makes Pete Rose look not so bad (if he was clean).

Good point Spider. Which is more offensive, betting on baseball or spiking your talent level ?

Will this episode be enough to let Mr. Baseball back in ? Or Does Selig blow out the stars of the last generation ? How will the writers handle this? Will allow Clemens and Bonds on the ballet? Will the fans blow out the game if Selig turns his back on past performance?

This IS the biggest scandel since '19. While the Sox tainted a series, this taints 20 years of baseball, including the Yankees dynasty of the 90's.

Another interesting point. The report mentions the Yankee clubhouse. Could this be a reason the Yankees wouldn't offer Torre a fair deal? Let's face it, he was in that clubhouse while much of this transpired in NY.

Any fan who thought dopin was limited to Bonds and Canseco had their head in the sand.
In any sport were steriods give an advantage, there will be doping at the highest level where lots of money and fame is at stake.

It is a bad day for baseball but should not have been unexpected.
I'm sure this list is very incomplete as well.
