Can imagine there are quite a number of people in the world who imagined he'd make it anywhere near this age.

Guy lived life to the fullest.

Shane, you beat me to the punch... thanks for posting.

Two giants in "transportation" died today. In addition to daredevil/media star Evel Knievel, former CEO of General Motors, Roger Smith, passed away. Many of you may know him as the object of "interest" for Michael Moore in his documentary "Roger and Me."

    RIP, Evel and Roger.

Wow, that brings back memories. I had the same setup when I was about 5 years old.

Evel is a memory I will forever remember. I actually paid to see the Snake River Jump, and out side of the quality of it I wasn't let down. Some will disagree but possibly the greatest showman and daredevil ever.

. . . and a big hero to all the doctors and orthopedic surgeons who treated the kids who tried to imitate his feats on their bicycles.
