    Default Favorite Thanksgiving dishes.......

Just thought I'd start this up.

My personal favorite is Oyster stuffing. Only my mom's side of the family makes this and I look forward to it every year.

Aside from my Aunt's award winning pies.......on my dad's side of the family I'd have to say that my aunt's turkey and dumplings are my favorite.

I had another step-aunt who made the best stickey buns I've ever had. That was complete torture when I was still wrestling.

    deep fat fried turkey!

that's the appetizer that we munch on all day. Then we have the regular oven turkey for dinner. With the traditional dishes. Rice & gravy, sweet potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole... and punkin pie for dessert.

I'm jealous stardust....no one in my family does the fried turkey thing. I've had one once and they're amazing. When I stop apartment living, I'm getting one of those fryers.

When I was wrestling and making weight, I always told myself that I'd have the rest of my life to eat as much as I want on Thanksgiving and Christmas . . . and my scale will testify to the fact that I've kept that promise to myself.

My favorite holiday food? I love it all, but a good pumpkin pie takes the cake.

...The hard ones in the cupboard, not the paper ones on the counter.

We used to have Swedish baloney (a sausage in a skin), but I think only one or two of my aunts and probably Grandma knew how to make it. Anyway, that is one course I miss.

I'm a sucker for some good mashed potatoes. Tomorrow, my family is going to a Polish restaurant for our turkey, so I'm excited about eating pierogi with my turkey.

Thursday eats are onr thing, but how about Friday leftovers ?

Onion roll, sliced turkey between two layers of stuffing smothered in gravy and a nice fat slice of cranberry to top it off. Oh yea, a side dish of mashed potatoes and corn.
