Carr avoided the question in the post game press conference.

About two hours after the game. UM SID announced a press conference for Monday.

Season's over, players head home for Thanksgiving. UM waits till Dec to see which bowl they go to.

So why would the SID for UM football call for a press conference?

Carr is taking the contract that was renegotiated last January and heading for the broadcast booth.

The new contract was restructured to allow for deferred compensation should he retire after age 62. LC turned 62 last July. Essentially, should he decide to retire, UM will pay him the remainder of his contract over an extended number of years. And he doesn't even have to work those final two years.

    check out espn or foxsports

Lloyd has announced a press conference for Monday morning at 10. They're expecting him to announce retirement, but that's just a guess.

    or see Ryou's post.

I like what he did for his assistants in the contract talks. They're often the forgotten men in these things, so it was cool to see he was planning for their futures as well as his own. A class act.

"While Ohio State most likely earned itself a trip to the Rose Bowl, the oppressive mood at Michigan overwhelmed the outnumbered visiting fans, who yelled "Keep coach Carr!" from the stands."

It's one thing when your own fans question your calls, but when your rival starts cheering for you, you know the time has come.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Michigan coach Lloyd Carr will retire Monday after 13 seasons, ending an era marked by highs of winning a national championship and five Big Ten titles and lows of losing to Ohio State and Appalachian State.

Carr told The Associated Press of his decision Sunday by phone, saying he wouldn?t comment further until a Monday morning news conference at the school.

The 62-year-old coach informed his players and staff of his retirement Sunday during a team meeting at Schembechler Hall.

    Wanted: new Carr, less Miles

Why would ANY Ohio State fan want Carr out of Michigan?
I will smash your face into a car windshield and then take your mother, Dorothy Mantooth, out to a nice seafood dinner and never call her again!

Tell me about it, this morning, I woke up and I shit a squirrel, but what I can't get is the damn thing is still alive. So now, I've got a shit covered squirrel running around my office and I don't know what to name it.
