Yes, when I saw this on my Yahoo homepage I couldn't believe it. So if the hip-hop culture was using the term "allegiance" to mean something offensive, and it became common usage, we would have to change the Pledge of Allegiance" to something else?

I seriously think there are people on this planet who spend their every waking minute looking to be offended in some way by everything.

Maybe if you weren't such a hoe, you wouldn't be offended. I laugh when adults get all in a tizzy about how something like this will affect children. As if a 5yr old is going to get offended by a santa saying ho-ho-ho.

That's it, Santa bellowing Ha Ha Ha - with a child on his lap. Every Mom of every little tot that starts to cry sues Santa for laughing at Little Johnny and embarassing Little Janey.

Has Hostress started recalling their Ho Ho's yet. Sorry, I just won't eat a Ha Ha or He He with lunch.

And what's next........Disney has to edit the movies ?
Snow White and the Seven Vertically Challenged Miners singing....
Hi Ha, Hi Ha, it's home from work I Go...
    I don't know about that.

So who's going to rewrite The Wizard of OZ ?.........

Ha, ha, ha, Ho, ho, ho
And a couple of tra - la - las
That's how we laugh the day away
In the Merry Old Land of Oz

    Will it become.....
    Ha, ha, ha.....ha, ha, ha
And a couple of tra - la - las

Sorry, just doesn't cut it for me.

Did you get a sales flyer from your local Lowes box lately? In mine, they're selling "family trees". You know, those fake spruce and balsam trees. But on the very next page they sell Menorahs. I know what a Menorah is, do I need one, No. I don't care if Lowes or any other store sells Menorahs. I'd really have a laugh if they started selling Family Nonet Candle Sticks.

Something is amiss here. Why is it okay to sell a religious candle by the name given to it, but you can't call a freakin Christmas tree..... a Christmas tree ?

Someone tell me - who the heck in this country is offended by "CHRISTMAS" so much that you have to change the name of a tradition ?

Lets face it, Christmas for many, if not most, no longer carries a religious meaning. It's a holiday from work, just like Labor Day. It's a time to dump the woes of the year, spend some dough, get together with your family and have some fun. For kids, it's a two week break from school.

Do these retailers feel they can increase sales to Muslims and the Jewish if they call a CHRISTMAS TREE some other name ? Now I know plenty of the Jewish faith that place a tree in their home, so don't misinterpret me here. But common, would Jewish adults be persuaded to but a fake tree to put in their home just because it is a "family tree". Would a Muslim or Hindu buy one?

Please I really want to know why I am so politically incorrect.

I'm Jewish (not practicing, but by birth and upbringing), and as those who know me know, I am very much opposed to supporting any religious observance with public (i.e. MY) funds . . . BUT . . . I fully appreciate and respect the rights of all private persons and institutions (including retail outlets) to recognize and celebrate Christmas, Kwansa, or any other holiday they choose. I think the idea of avoiding references to Christmas in the name of poltical correctness or any type of fairness is totally ridiculous. I am in no way offended when stores offer my non-Jewish friends and fellow citizens the opportunity to celebrate their chosen holidays by purchasing whatever seasonal products they desire, and refer to these offerings by their obvious names. Common sense, unfortunately, isn't all that common these days.
