Default Classmate of mine on Jeopardy!

Ryan Hall, a 1997 graduate of Poquoson High School, tests his knowledge on the quiz show "Jeopardy!" tonight.

Hall, 27, moved to State College, Pa., in 2005, but it's a Virginia education he will display. Hall earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond and his master's in physics from Virginia Commonwealth University.

He is currently a chemistry and physics high school teacher and said his students have been asking him about tonight's show since he taped it in Culver City, Calif., in January.

Locally, "Jeopardy!" is scheduled to air at 7:30 tonight on WVEC-TV 13.

He's the third person I went to HS with or formerly worked with to be on the show this year.

Two of my former co-workers at the Daily Press were on the show, one of which was on the copy desk with me in Sports for a few years.

If there's a college mascot question, I'm claiming all of that knowledge, because Ryan and I would go back and forth during our freshman year of HS trying to know them all.

    It still serves me today.

    This is a stupid topic
I will smash your face into a car windshield and then take your mother, Dorothy Mantooth, out to a nice seafood dinner and never call her again!

Tell me about it, this morning, I woke up and I shit a squirrel, but what I can't get is the damn thing is still alive. So now, I've got a shit covered squirrel running around my office and I don't know what to name it.

I try never to miss Jeopardy, and will root for Ryan tonight - unless there's a hot babe in the competition.

Dart Shark- Does he teach @ State College Area High School??? It's a good thing he wasn't there 1998-2001! Haha. I was a little difficult to my physics & chemistry teachers! Haha. Good Luck to him!

I was wondering if he taught HS or at Penn State, I haven't talked to him since probably my sophomore year at ODU (when ODU beat Richmond in men's hoops)... he was always a Richmond fan, so I always had to get my jabs in when I could.

Ryan was one of those brainiac kids, but always a good kid. I'll be rooting for the old friend tonight.

Guess I could've looked in the CDT- It appears he's a teacher at Bald Eagle Area High School, but lives in State College. BEA is about 20 minutes from State College.

A valiant effort, but he was up against two tough women.
