2.5 miles takes me about 6 minutes
My commute is about 14 miles, which takes about 20 - 25 minutes, depending on traffic. The drive lets me wake up in the morning and unwind on the way home, but it's inconvenent if I have to go in after hours for an emergency - but that doesn't happen too often.
So, basically most of you live in wonderland and never really experience what many Americans (Extreme commuters) experience on a daily basis.
Maybe that means that as a group, we're smarter than the average bear.

Yeah, I bet a lot of average bears are growling in their cars, as they drive and drive and drive in search of the proverbial picnic basket.
