I agree. Chicago media will be much, much tougher than Denver, which tends to fawn on its football players. But then maybe he won't make any mistakes or have a spat with anyone and everything will be hunky dory and the Bears will go 13-3. Did you see Urlacher's remarks about "he must be good"? Whew! To borrow from an ESPN sportscaster, it wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement of the trade. Apparetnly Orton was very popular on the team.

I'm on Cutler's side in the Denver fiasco. He wasn't mad at being bandied about in trade rumors, he' angry about being lied to. And you can't really blame Cutler for the Bronco's losing. THe offense was third in the league and they went thru like 6 starting running backs. It was the defense that was...letting them down.

The Broncos went 7-7 because there defense gave up 30+ a game and the offense coul dnot pull it out every night.Cutler does need to grow up but he is better than Orton. I am a huge Bears fan and liked Orton when they drafted him out of Purdue but he is not as talented as cutler. I wish the Bears would have been able to get rid of Grosman instead.

I don't know the details of what went down or anything, but I definitely think Denver got the better end of the deal by far...

Not as of now they didn't. If those picks turn into something, then they did, but the Bears are the only team that got the sure thing in this deal, or the closest thing to it. As of today, the Bears are the winners.

Chicago has a ton of holes. Cutler is a better qb than Orton but he is also extremely overrarted. He reminds of Jeff George; he has the arm strength and the physical talent but he does not offer anyof the intangible that you look for from the qb position.

Denver did not handle the situation well but cutler acted like the spoiled brat that he is. IMO he has earned nothing at this point, he has yet to win at the college or pro level and the same concerns about him coming out of college are still there. It will be interesting to see him go from a pass heavy offense with a stud number one wr and a extremely talented rookie in denver to a run oriented offense in chicago with little talent at wr.

Denver gets two first rounds and a third plus orton so I think they this in a landslide. Chicago has a talented immature qb who has no idea how to win with very little weapons and an aging defense without the resources to improve.

How? They got a qb who has never won a playoff game. Up to this point Orton has had more succes leading his team than Cutler has. We are not playing fantasy football here, this is the real deal.

They got a young pro-bowl QB who with the right team could be great. If you think that the Bears defense will put up with him acting out then you are wrong. Hopefully he has a chip on his shoulder and does some good things for the bears.

Cutler has never had a great team around him. In college he played at Vanderbilt, really you expected one talented guy to carry a team in the SEC. In Denver he had no defense. He cant do it all.
