strange synchronicity as the National geographic channel is showing a super strength show . A 5'9'' 168 lb 50 year old man just pounded a nail through a teflon frying pan and a board barehanded . A mutant just pulled a truck 120 feet . The calculations came out to the equivalent of doing 500 lb squats 30 x in 40 seconds ? Frigging scary strong !!
You know, I think I would rather be a man than a god . We don't need anyone to believe in us. We just keep going anyhow. It's what we do.

All USA final in beach volleyball. May and Walsh finished off China in straight sets to advance to their third Olympic final in a row.

Kessy and Ross knocked off the top ranked Brazilians to join them which is pretty cool.

I just watched the USA "B" team win their semi match, once they got in their groove and they looked really good. I think that they could give Walsh and May a match.

Spurred on by Alex Morgan who has been running around like her hair is on fire over the first 8 minutes the US goes up 1-0 in the final on a goal by Carli Lloyd

Terrific ball played into the box by Japan parried away by an even more impressive save by a diving Hope Solo with the left hand.

Lloyd with a brilliant run right down the center of the field and finishes with the strike to put the US up 2-0

Bolt retains his 200 meter crown.

Goes 19.32 to nip Blake who gave a game effort but couldn't run him down on the straight away.

He noticeably jogged across the line over the last 5-10 meters or so. Had he run the whole time he'd have beaten his time from Beijing.

Two goals by Lloyd are enough. Japan got one back but the US takes the game and the Gold 2-1.

Brilliant one on one save by Hope Solo in the 83rd kept the lead.
