Living Donor

Anyone ever done it or know someone who has???

I am considering doing it for my brother. Just found out he is getting ready to go on the transplant list for a liver. He is still in the testing stage. He may hit the transplant list in mid-August.

Right now my biggest obstacle is that the company I work for does not offer STD. So, I need a way to get help with replacing my income.

The daughter of a lady I used to work with donated a portion of her liver to her mom. Everything worked out great for both of them. However, I did work with the receipient and not the donor. I know her daughter was up and around fairly quick but I have no idea what the pain or rehab was like. The lady is still going strong and that was easily 15yrs ago.
