I enjoy the NBA playoffs, but I don't watch many regular season games.
On the other hand, I can't stand what college basketball has become. No sense of continuity in lineup or even roster from year to year - it's the embodiment of the Seinfeld joke where he says you are just rooting for laundry.
I don't watch any basketball at all anymore. I just can't stand LeBron James. It's not an Ohio thing, either. It's the fact that he did the thing with ESPN to announce where he was going and then the whole catwalk thing with Bosh and Wade. It was too much for me. That solidified that "the game" meant nothing to him. It was all about trying to buy a championship. That's why I don't like the Yankees. Jeter is tainted IMO. They bought those championships. I don't like that.
Pete Rose won wherever he went, with whoever he played with. He made Schmidt a HOF'er (Schmidt even said that at his induction). Jordan made Pippen a HOF'er. Bird made McHale, Magic made Worthy (don't even try to argue that one). Great players make others great. They don't reach out to try and win with a team loaded with other great players. Lebron is a douche. So are Wade and Bosh for trying to win that way.
