Default I'm a "TheMatForums" Celebrity!! lol

I just ran across this one and figured I'd explain some of the incorrect statements about me by a guy named "KennySunday"... He must have taken the day off. (kidding, kidding..)

    http://www.thematforums.com/myforum/...id=4&pagenum=1

"..and they actually acknowledge further down that the site owner is a graduate of Apple Valley (1). Then, to make it appear legitimate, they say the owner was against picking Apple Valley due to appearances of impropriety . Well, too late. (2) The only thing that sucks is that their website probably gets 3 hits a week (3)...now they're celebrities...which may be what they wanted all along. (4)"

    1) This one's true, I did graduate from Apple Valley.
    2) Just like with TWT, I have very little to do with HSWrestling's content. Could the voters have given AV the nod because of me, certainly. Not that I have any idea, but I'd rank them: #1 Blair, #2 St. Paris/Apple Valley/Ctrl Dauphin.
    3) It's not a huge site, but 3 'hits' per day is pretty small... I'll use a picture for you

    4) Yes, yes.. a wrestling website celebrity.

"Person mentioned is former Apple Valley High wrestler turned computer guru.(5) Also known as Viratas (not 100 percent sure on that but could be right)(6) and runs thematuser blog forum, TheWrestlingTalk, Wrestling Pod and now this site.(7) What's the catch? All drive people to his wrestling gear company and help increase sales. Really, it's a great marketing ploy and Internet marketing genius. (8) If you look at all the comments on the Apple Valley thread it generated a lot of hits and buzz, driving people to that site and info. But all sites are set up the same with the main idea to sell product. (9)
I actually think this is pretty impressive strategy. And the info provided is all very good. Kudos to this person, wrestling should hire him to market and promote the sport. (10) A little shady yes, but still creative. (11)"

5)I was a computer guru before graduating from Apple Valley..
    6) I'm not viratas, though he is probably more likable than me.
    7) I have nothing to do with thematforumuserblog forum or WrestlingPod.
    8) Thanks
    9) Certainly helps pay the server costs for TWT and all of the other sites without charging the community, though.
    10) Thanks
    11) How is advertising wrestling gear on wrestling sites shady?

That was kinda fun! Now back to the Mickeys!

Schlottke = evil mastermind. After all, what's more important than controlling high school wrestling rankings? Mwhahahaha.

haha, exactly.. With all of that attention you'd think I run wrestling sites as a business rather than a hobby!

I noticed that thread over there a while ago, and thought about bringing it to your attention, but figured you'd likely seen it. Next time I want to influence the rankings, at least I know where to go.

Ha! Just email me and Ill have them put whatever team you want as the #1 team, no questions asked... lol

I had a buddy (Ricky Crone) tell me about it today or I'd have missed it entirely- glad he pointed it out, it made for some good entertainment.

I'm a celeb as well. I just got banned for disagreeing with Craig Sesker's quite homerish opinion piece.

Just don't disagree with Shane or he will ban you too! What thread was it that got you banned?

When I disagreed with Craig Seskers article. I said it was quite homerish and not much of a journalistic piece. Something to that effect. Basically disagreeing with everything he had to say and that they were just trying to do dmage control for their Golden Boy, Metcalf. I've said much worse things tht hadn't gotten me banned, yet I don't buy into his opinionated piece and it gets me banned. Pretty chickenshit on their part.

Gotcha. I just read it and can't really disagree with most of what he says.

Metcalf definitely wasn't trying to hurt Caldwell.
Metalf is undoubtedly a hard worker, good student, etc..

    I would disagree with these:

"You wonder how much Metcalf would have been criticized if he wrestled for Bucknell or Purdue? But he wrestles for Iowa, a team a lot of people love to hate."

I would say, if he was still at V-Tech and was just as dominate he'd be hated just as much. It's not so much where he is from as what he has accomplished. *Most* of the aggressiveness towards Metcalf is that people wanted to see him get beat.

" I’ve seen a lot of wrestlers from Iowa, and other schools, refuse to grant interviews after dropping matches a lot less significant than the one Metcalf lost. Metcalf stood there and faced the tough questions. And he gave honest, complete answers to the questions... ...Metcalf stuck around and posed for pictures with Hawkeye fans and signed autographs for them. It was impressive how well he handled everything on a night that clearly did not go as planned."

That is his job. If he can't handle answering the press after a loss he shouldn't be receiving scholarship. Glorifying someone for being professional when they are receiving a scholarship from the University isn't necessary- it should be expected.

I think my biggest issue with the article is that it should have been about Darrion Caldwell first and Brent Metcalf second... Darrion was the champion after all.

Is Sesker wrong in saying the Metcalf bashing should stop? Nah.

I actually thinks he meant well in the piece and is misunderstood. Metcalf is, without question, a man of character and I would agree completely that attacking him for "The Push" is not something wrestling fans should fixate on.
