    KR - thanks. We will be investigating some holistic treatments. I don't know if we will have time, but what we will learn may help with other dogs.

    We just returned from the vet - without sweet Roxie. We had hoped that, like Cyrano, the cancer would give us several months before it became too much for her. Unfortunately, it's location in the hip joint and the rate of growth did not give us that time. She had stopped eating and drinking the last few days, getting outside (and back in) was very difficult for her, and last night something happened to her and she screamed out in pain. The medication just was not offering her the necessary relief. As hard as it was for Judy and I to accept, it was her time.

    That sucks. There is nothing easy about putting down a friend.
