Wow! I don't expect you to believe me, but one of my oldest friends from school back in Minnesota was one of the original persons who opened up Four Peaks in Tempe! He has sold his part of it, and has opened another bar in Mexico, but the Elvis shrine that they used to have in back was all his idea!

Where did he open a bar in Mexico?

I am disappointed that some here think that this fight was caused over Tecate or Corona. While they are not the best beers in the world, add a lime and enjoy. Better than Bud or Corrs IMO.

Clearly this incident had to have been caused by Keystone. I have had many, many unpleasant and bruising events when this beer is present. This is one of the only beers I refuse to drink. Ill take the High Life or the Beast, hell I might even take a bud ice or icehouse before a keystone.

Nice beer to try if you havent already Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar or Chocolate Stout.

no shit, that is awesome!! They have a lot of great beers. I would venture to say, without any data to back it up, that they are the most popular brewery in the valley. How did he get into starting a brewery?

I always admired people that are willing to take a chance to do what they love and make a living out of it.

I actually have no idea of the name of the town. I haven't actually seen him in over five years, so I don't know the town's name. The news was simply just passed along that he was opening a bar in Mexico.

He's an odd character, with an odd sense of humor, and he's always said that he's dreamed of opening a bar in Mexico where you can legally pistol whip customers who are out of line!

He inherited nearly $100k from his grandfather when he died. He was in Flagstaff at the time, and decided to move down to Tempe to look into buying a building to open up a brew pub. I've never been to Tempe, but I do know that Four Peaks was originally an old creamery that they bought and converted into the place that we know today.

He went into partnership with 4 other guys, but he sold his share of it several years ago. I know he did very well with this venture, and had never been in business before in his life.

German-Irish. And it looks like I'm only coming up for the day, so I don't think it would be a good idea to bring any this time!
