    Default American cars in Brazil

I met this one guy at work. He is a global traveler for his work. He is from New Jersey but he lives and works in Brazil. I asked him about cars in Brazil. He tells me they have Ford cars that are built there. However they don't have the same models that we have in America. Turns out they build completely different models there that are simplified and of lower quality. They don't have anti lock brakes, power steering and so on.

Basically, American companies make cars in Third World countries that are hardly better than Russian cars.

Would the majority of Brazilians be able able to afford cars as they are built in the US? Does Brazil have the same safety requirements as the US? If they don't require better vehicles and if making better vehicles would virtually eliminate their use (too expensive), are US automakers doing Brazil a disservice by offering lower quality vehicles? I think not.
You do the math..... I'll do the alfredo!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
