Pheonix says he's retiring from acting to pursue a career in music. This is kinda sad news to me as I think Pheonix is one of the better actors in Hollywood as he is very versatile and as easy to like as he is to hate. What I find more sad though is the way he's acting right now. It seems like he's going through a dark place right now. He recently did an interview on Letterman and it was pretty bad. He did his time and punched his lottery ticket, so I guess he's doing what makes him happy. His Johnny Cash was okay but not stellar. Lets's face you don't have to have a voice to cut a record.

Was it just me, or did he sound like he was channelling John Lennon?

The kid is definitely weird, but as usual, Letterman takes a lemon and makes lemonade.

Also, seeing him and then him saying he was going to be doing hip hop music, I couldn't help but think of Dewey Cox.

Did anyone see letterman, he was way out there. One quick little smile made me think that maybe he was acting, but I don't think so

Ha ha, I did a double take on that one too. Poor Stiffy, he won't like that at all!
