I am going to simplfy this for all of you. They all need to go Paterno included. They allowed a suspected child molester to continue to prey on children. They lied and covered it up. None of them get a pass in my book. None of them. Paterno who was regarded as a class guy should have done more; he is a father and a grandfather for god's sake. Would he have been so forgiving or so easily threw up his hands and said "well I reported it to my boss" if it was one of his own family? He needs to be let go today along with the rest of them. Penn State failed as an institution to protect children from one of there own. Disgusting doesn't even begin to cover it.

Anyone who says Paterno gets a pass on this one; is just plain wrong. With all the stuff already published including the Grand jury testimony; there is no rush to judgement. He knew about it.

The time line makes things even more disturbing.

1998 - University investigates allegations of sexual abuse of minors by Sandusky. Paterno had to know of this investigation. Will the findings of this investigation come to the light of day now? Almost certainly, and it can't be good.

1999 - Sandusky retires/resigns. Anyone think he wasn't given the "choice" to either retire or be dismissed?

2002 - Another, now eyewitness third party, report of sexual abuse of a minor by Sandusky. How does PSU not go after Sandusky with all guns blazing and how does Paterno not insist this be done.

Just a terrible situation and terrible handling of it by everyone.

There is also news out that a local DA had a chance to prosecute. who did not. Whats even weirder is that the DA Ray Gricar DISAPPEARED.

It turns out that one of the mothers had Gricar LISTEN to Sandusky call her & practically admit that he had abused her son. Gricar, who was not a PSU alum or even connected to PSU, chose not to follow up.

This is even worse than PSU's behavior, if such a thing is possible. Just shameful.

Will Penn State be liable to pay out the millions that will be owed to every victim after victim #2? If so how will that affect the athletic department finacially? Nevermind in recruiting.
