Wrestling: Dustin Schlatter (the reason I'm a college wrestling fan today), Colt Sponseller (local hero)
Baseball: Barry Larkin, Brandon Phillips (incredible defensive skills), Joey Votto (anytime you have the MVP on your team it's pretty cool)
Football: LaDainian Tomlinson, Corey Dillon, Ray Lewis

I really don't care about basketball and have never watched a hockey game.

I don't get the boredom with hockey. Is it because people have trouble following the puck on tv? I know people who say they can't watch on tv because of that, but they love going to the games. Is it because the names are foreign? I know people who won't watch because of that too. Seems silly, but Americans usually don't watch Formula 1 racing either, maybe for that reason.

If I remember correctly, hockey is the quickest game played. They skate faster than people run and they hit the puck as fast or faster than a pitcher throws a baseball. They "slam" into each other. They are allowed to fight until they go to the ground. What's not to like? Seriously, I am interested in the answers.

What he said. Hockey is great, it has a ton of action. Maybe it's a Canada/America thing, but it seriously blows my mind that people can find hockey boring and baseball exciting.

Maybe it's because I love lacrosse, a much higher speed version of hockey. 1-0 hockey games are like watching lacrosse in slo-mo.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

I don't mean to turn this into my own personal cause, but how in the world is lacrosse a much higher speed sport than hockey? I don't necessarily dislike lacrosse, but it's essentially a slower version of hockey.
