Man I actually bought into the hype a bit, I know Vakattack ate it all up, about Favre loving his new team and bringing great energy.

Apparently now his teammates are revealing the truth. One unidentified player said that Favre never spent any time with teammates instead spending most ofhis time in a private office. So much for liking his new team and giving the team a new buzz.

Now star running back Thomas Jones correctly pointed out how Favres boneheaded mistakes cost the team a chance at the playoffs.

If they had a healthy Pennington we would be talking about a potential super bowl bound team, instead we are just learning the facts about Favre and not the pretty picture the media paints.

I have an excuse, I don't know much about football. But you guys with years of experience have egg on face. It was pretty clear to me what a huge mistake it was to bring Favre in after Green Bay had demoted him to back up status. Lets hope he learns his lesson and just retires and stops embarrassing himself and his team. Time to hang it up Favre. Don't be like Evander Hollyfield, let it go already.

Adolf, me and you were in agreement this offseason that Favre should hang it up.

9 interceptions and only two touchdowns in the final five games of the season shows that Favre does not have it anymore.

Vak even tried to fool me and say that Favre was the reason that the Jets had such a strong turnaround. Then I realized that the Jets handed out 140 million dollars worth of contracts in the offseason bringing in a host of new players. Unfortunately Favre washed out all those positive additions with his terrible play down the stretch.

There's a possibility that his torn bicep tendon in his throwing arm had something to do with his ineffectiveness in the latter part of the season. It seemed like he was making quite a few bad decisions, but some of that was due to his inability to put zip on the ball like he's used to doing. Unfortunately for somebody that's been doing something as long as he has, it becomes really hard to change their style which I think hurt him a lot.

You have to watch him closely PJ. Excellent points on the player acquisitions in the off season.

In this case I am glad the player did speak up. The next three months would have been ridiculous as the biggest drama queen in sports would go back and forth on retiring meanwhile Peter King and the rest of the media would be talking about the positive affect he had on the team. How he lifted the spirits of the team , how all the young guys looked up to him and the vets felt reenergized.

Now we know that all a bunch of crap, he didnt spend any time with his teammates they did not like him and they recognized that he blew it for htem down the stretch.

Who cares? Really, what did Farve have invested in the Jets? they brought him in to a 4-12 team and they win 9 games this year. Farve will be in the Hall of Fame so what really is the point? Did Farve play bad at the end of the season, he sure did. Mangini got fired because he didn't manage the team better. Farve wasn't the only guy out there the last 6 weeks of the season making mistakes. There is plenty of blame to go around in the locker room. Players should shut up about Farve and T.O. and every other prima donna in the league. it only fuels there insecurities.
