    Wow...You agree with him?

If these guys didn't have such emmense greed(players) they'd be fine.

These guys get free room/board/education(It's not the schools fault if they don't care about a $100,000 education) and the biggest thing they get: Promotion.

Their games are shown every week and their highlights are on again on Sportscenter. You can create a fan base before you even get into the leauge. Do I think it's a perfect system? No. But to say that the kids are Slaves is completely wrong.
To avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.

The reason I disagree is because of the BILLIONS of dollars the NCAA makes by exploiting these kids. And yes, I said exploit. Look around the jam-packed football stadiums and see how many player jerseys are on the fan's back. Who gets that money? Or all the money made for television contracts and the millions for bowl game appearances. Nobody tunes in to watch an NCAA executive sit at his desk.

I understand the free college argument. Yes, I would love to have free college. But I think if you gave the players the choice of free college or a percentage of money their team generates, they would probably choose the latter and pay for their own college.

Then you throw in the fact that if a kid transfers schools, he has to sit out a year. But coaches are allowed to leave anytime they want and get no penalty what-so-ever. Coaches are paid millions and tell the kids they are there for them. But as soon as a better job comes up, they leave. It sounds an awful lot like slavery to me. But that word could be a tad harsh.

They really need a minor league system for both football and basketball. I think that would solve a lot of problems.
