The mets are breaking my heart. On the verge of the biggest regular season collapse of all time.

Nice photo! I wanted to say something about the Cubs all week, but I didn't want to jinx it and be the new Bartman. Go Cubs!

I'm not a Cubs fan, but...Congratuations Cubs! If you make as far as facing an American League team, I'll be rooting for you all the way.

On behalf of Cubdom, I thank you. :) Actually, I had the coolest conversation with my Dad today about this. He was watching the Brewers game, waiting to see if they clinched, and my mom was getting tired and went to bed. So I said, "Well, who did you celebrate with, then?" And he said "My father." My grandfather, who passed away more than twenty years ago, was the biggest Cubs fan I knew, and he actually took me to my first Cubs game. If the Cubs can make history here, it will mean much more than just some team winning some game. :)

They should be winners they have a Yankee for a coach. Gotta love LP.
I saw him play in the Pin Stripes when I was a kid at Yankee Stadium. I have always been a fan of his.

I'm happy for the Cubs and hope they do well. I'm a closet Cubs fans as they were one of two teams I grew up watching. The Braves being the other. I don't watch much baseball anymore, but I still route for those teams to do well.

Yeah! I'm a Cardinals fan because my Dad was, and his Dad before him. My first game was in old Sportsman's Park in 1963 where I saw Bill White hit a home run to right field--landing near a billboard (the pun just occured to me). Unfortunately I didn't pass that heritage onto my kids. But, anyway, it's definitely a family thing.
