Dad: I'll kill my son's murderer if he's released
As the father of a six year old girl and a four year old boy, I can't say that I disagree with this sentiment. It would be very, very difficult not to be consumed by hatred and vengeance.

Major error - he is talking about it. If you are serious, keep your mouth shut, make your plans, take action. Now he has given authorities (and the "victim") warning.

Re: Dad: I'll kill my son's murderer if he's released
Anyone can say what they think needs to be said to keep that guy from doing it. I actually thought about typing something like that. But, I don't know what I would do, either. I would understand him killing the dude and I would understand him forgiving him. IF this happened in 1975 and he still hasn't forgiven him, then I am pretty sure that he would do what he said. It's just sad that getting released is a possibility. And I don't blame the father for accepting a plea deal, either. He probably just wanted everything to be over with at the time and wasn't thinking right. I just hope everything works out. I don't know this man, but if someone messes with my children, who are now adults, I don't know what I'd do.

Re: Dad: I'll kill my son's murderer if he's released
A lot of guys are just talk-if he were really going to do it he'd keep his mouth shut and just blow the dude's head off. Then again , if he is going on a suicide mission , WHAT does he have to lose ?
As M.Richardson said tho-he will be under surveillance for a time and could actually be charged with intimidation-a Class D felony.

By going this crazy to the press he might get the guy to *want* to stay in prison if he feels safer there and will definitely have the parole board looking into the situation more than a normal 35 year old case.

I'm not saying the guy is handling it the right way (blabbering to the press, for example), but I do agree with his sentiment.
