Autozone ticked me off so I went and bought my own OBD2 scanner for those pesky check engine light
I do -- I had figured I'd eventually get one, but wanted to do my research and make sure Kindle was what I wanted to go with. I'm a big Apple fan, but since already have iPhone, iPod, etc, and really only needed something to READ BOOKS ON, and wanted something smaller, I decided on Kindle. I'm a big fan so far :)
PS -- but I will still have to buy the actual "book" versions of my favorites... I'm old school and love having books on the bookshelf :)
My girlfriend is the same way. If she really likes a book, she wants it on the shelf. Same with movies - if she likes it, she'll buy the DVD even after she's seen it.
Stardust, nice Kindle. How did you decide on the Kindle over the Nook or iPad?
Our daughter is a voracious reader and has a Nook that goes pretty much unused. Get this, she's a teen who won't let us buy her books saying it wastes our money. Insetad we drop her at B&N and she reads a book or two while we're shopping. She does d/l some books for flights though.
Oh Spider, I dont know if you will remember, but thanks again for your dental advice a couple years ago. It has all worked out wonderfully. She is now seeing an orthodontist for braces and her smile is looking great but still a long way to go before they're removed. Thank you again.
Well, I was mainly just looking at the Kindle and iPad, not Nook. I've had a B&N membership forever so I kinda felt like I should go with theirs, but, a good friend of mine (angelfish on TWT) who is also a i-addict got a Kindle a while back and loves it. Price really was a factor -- like I said I really just needed something to read books on -- didn't need to surf the web, play games, etc etc.
Kindle just seemed like the overall best thing for the best price for what I needed.
