That looks neat. Of course, I have absolutely NO idea what it does. But it still looks really neat and techie!

It's very cool, but it's also a little pricey ($1,500). It models 70 amplifiers and more than 70 effects boxes. So, if you want to play a Marshall JCM 800 amp, just dial it in and then play it through your Full Range Full Response (studio) monitors. FRFR monitors are expensive as well (about $600 each), but after you have everything set up you are able to dial in almost any tone you want. It's an unbelievable piece of equipment, updated with new firmware and software fairly frequently, and a very robust Wiki forum devoted to the equipment.

Flop - I just read, and re-read very carefully, your explaination. Thank you for answering me. When I read this, I understood each of the words. Unfortunately, when the words are in sentences they still don't make any sense to me. Please. I am a dinosaur. Don't bother attempting to make me understand. I am thoroughly enjoying your enjoying your new toy. (Assuming, of course, that is what it is.)

The short version - I can plug my guitar into this thing and either sound like Chet Atkins, Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Kirk Hammett, or any number of other guitarists. But, just because I can sound like them doesn't mean that I can play like them.

Family New Years dinner - 15 lbs of beef tenderloin

Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

I know the economy could be better but you must be buying some things.

    What's your latest gadget?

RU - trade you 2 for 1. Thirty-four pounds of prime kibble (your choice, buffalo/venison or the lamb) for your 15 pounds of beef.

I'll go venison, my wife won't let me take it anymore. A nice 7 quarts of stew, that I enjoy over and over and over again, would be nice right now. I'll throw in the gorgonzola and mushrooms for you.

三杯做y法 (Eel cooked in hot pot) washed down with Tsingtao.

    Good but $$.
