Some of the stories I've read give the impression that they were things he never pawned, but things that were stolen. Kinda like his heisman which was stolen and then turned over to authorities to be auctioned off. Things like his HOF certificate, the suit he was wearing when he got aquitted, etc.

The commentator I heard said that OJ was taking the law into his own hands by trying to get his stuff back. He should have called the police, but he (OJ) claims that the police don't respond to his requests ever since the trial.

Maybe justice will slip in through the back door and finally prevail.

On Sportscenter last night, they quoted him as saying "I thought that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas". Pretty much the funniest thing I've ever heard.

I will digress here, I am not an OJ Simpson fan, should have gone to jail for the murder of his wife and Coleman imo. That said, I have issues with the people in the hotel room being called "victims." I think we are so biased we don't think straight here, if the police didn't respond, which I don't doubt, (although they had planned this apparently for 3 months) and the stuff was stollen, as all indications seems to indicate it was. What actions would any of us have taken to get back something that was stollen from us when we knew the people who stole it? Another note here, is that the testimony by some of the "victims" indicates that OJ never had a gun. That don't excuse him but I am at the place that I think this may be harder to get a guilty verdict from than many may realize.
