I think it is a pretty big deal advantage wise. Last night on MNF, Ron Jaworski talked about what a difference it made for him knowing the defense signals, and recited a story about getting a TD simply from getting a tip about an opposing coach's signal.
I'm sure that knowing another teams signals is a huge advantage, the question is does videotaping give you a significantly better chance at figureing out their signals than just watching them give the signals and taking notes?
