2006 Stanford v Washington Football agme.

Midway through the third quarter, Johnny Durocher, Washington QB flips an interception to Stanford. Stanford D Tackle Chris Horn 6'5" and 280 (and who happens to hail from NJ which is where I learned about this) takes off downfield blocking for the Stanford D Back.

Horn clobbers QB Durocher sending him flying to the turf...knocked out cold.

Durocher is wheeled off to recover at the hospital. Because of the head injury and loss of consciousness they take an MRI.

Low and behold they find the kid has a brain tumor. An operable brain tumor, that if had not been discovered as early as it was, may well have been fatal.

Life works in strange ways.

Well my age is showing once again. A factoid originally meant a spurious "fact" creating or prolonging public exposure or to manipulate public opinion.

The definition has since been manipulated and now associate a factoid with something false, somewhat in the way "bad" is not so bad anymore.

One definitely should not drink wine while reading Spider's jokes, especially when there are items in front of you (papers, pictures, etc.) that you want to preserve. And especially don't have a mouth full of food.
