Clean and totally within the play. Ward is NOT a dirty ballplayer. Aggressive but not dirty. I'm not really a Steeler fan (I do have Ward on an Fantasy team), but I actually like Ward's play. He takes pride in being a ferocious blocker by WR standards, and has helped his offense with blocking in the past. That said, he may look for situations where he can lay the wood on somebody. So what? There should be more WRs with that attitude, as long as its all within the context of the play.
The guy from the originating web site is definitely not a big Steelers fan however. The blog on Ward being dirty got about a 9 to 1 negative comment response.
