Default a little pick me up

If you get bored check out the baseball Free agent tracker by ESPN-scroll down to Aaron Rowland -a mediocre centerfielder -then when you see he signed a 5 year contract for $60,000,000.00., you will either have to laugh or cry -i laughed -a lifetime .270 hitter with 108 home runs in 7 seasons -I thought i was worthless !!! how does this man live with himself ? $12,000,000.00 a year , for a real kick check out Andruw jones .
Being on disability you really start to doubt the worth of your existence -i feel so much better -give it a try .

Ha Ha Ha those numbers are beyond ridiculous. There's some guys on the MMA board who will argue that it's their fair share. Ha Ha.

Yup and minimum $300 a seat in the new stadium.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

Yea -but A-Rod will be in Cooperstown one day -Aaron Rowland will have to pay admission to get in .
The Yankees are paying Giambi $25,000,000.00 and Posada $15,000,000,.00-the steroid kid had 2 good years in Oakland and Posada ?-not to mention Damon ,Pettite, and whatever their shortstop's name is a zillion dollars to-steinbrenner is crazy .

When you compare their pay scales to those of other "more important" occupations in the grand scheme of life, what athletes and entertainers make might be classified as "ridiculous." But when you view them as a share of the revenue generated for the business of which they are a part, they're not so ridiculous. Besides, don't you typically contend that people make what the market allows/requires? In that case, if the market allows/requires someone at the level of Aaron Rowland to make $12mil per year, then it is in fact his fair share isn't it?

I was speaking of the A-Rod numbers. I have no idea who Rowland is. I make no distinction on if those numbers are fair or otherwise deserved, rather that they are ridiculous. Also, I never said I was in support of their revenue agreement or that I think the revenue is divided fairly among the different players.

Yup and if people keep paying the always increasing the large salaries will continue.
Cubs games were $100 dollars for bleacher tickets and that did not even guarantee you a seat. Still though the games were always packed so peopke can't really complain.

    My point exactly .
I follow baseball and Rowland is average at best . Billionaire owners Vs. millionaire players -the season McGuire hit those homeruns saved baseball-then it turned out to be a LIE-I no longer follow baseball per se -just my favorite players .
