1. ## Re: Tough math puzzle

You're definitely on the right track, you'll get it soon enough. EDIT: I think I'm doing it wrong and you might be right, I'll have to look at it again. I didn't remember the exact #s for the puzzle, just the concept. EDIT AGAIN: wtf, I'm having a brain fart too. I'm gonna end up beating myself up over a puzzle that I'm supposed to know the answer to.

18.601075237738275 feet

3. ## Re: Tough math puzzle

Are you sure this is supposed to be a perfect cube and not rectangular?

I found some VERY similar puzzles, but none of the problems have a perfect square.

4. ## Re: Tough math puzzle

The same methodology for solving the rectangle will solve the cube poser.

There can only be two answers - 30 feet and 18.6 feet

5. ## Re: Tough math puzzle

So much for not responding if you have master google skills.

19.849?

7. ## Re: Tough math puzzle

I'm still trying to figuire out how a paralyzed ant (#2) got to that point on the other wall 2' down from the ceiling. Hmmmmmm......

8. ## Re: Tough math puzzle

Perhaps a human sprayed him with a poison...and he's tough enough not to die but still became paralyzed?
