I've never heard of Branded or the Big Valley. Are those old westerns, too?

You don't like Gun Smoke? Come on, man. Matt Dillon, Festus and Kitty! I'm just now getting into it, but I really like that show. Bonanza is good, too. Especially the ones where Hoss and Little Joe are out by themselves. It seems they always get into a pickle of some sort. Grandma always finds a way to yell, "shoot 'em, you dummy" in every Bonanza episode.

The older episodes with Dennis Weaver as Chester (before Festus) and Burt Reynolds as the blacksmith are even better.

I didn't know that. Wow, Burt on a tv western. Learn something new every day. But, do you recall if Clint or the Duke were on any episode? Or were they both too big of names by then, to go on a tv show?

Oh, the Busey episode I saw was kind of strange because he got kicked in the head by a horse and ended up with a brain problem in the episode. Kinda scary knowing that his motorcycle wreck would actually do the same thing, years later.

John Wayne was already a movie star by then, but Clint Eastwood was a regular on Rawhide before he was big in movies.
