Thread: Go Phillies!!!!!!!

    Default Go Phillies!!!!!!!

About 10 years ago there was a guy that had his right hand successfully reattached after an accident. 2 years later he threw out the 1st pitch at a Phillies game and he bounced it to the catcher. And the fans booed him. HAW!

You have to understand those philly fans don't have much class-if any.. I'd be miserable too if I had to grow up and live there too. Besides the 76ers in 1980 Have they won anything over there in the 3 major US pro sports?

Agreed, I also remember when that crack head criminal Michael Irvin got booed when he got hurt at the vet.

    And Santa Clause too.

What gets me about Irvin is that in spite of his crack problem , as you noted, he still has 3 Super Bowl rings vs zero for the entire Eagles organization. It's no wonder they booed him. If he were to have never won anything in his life, the Eagles fans probably would have embraced him.

What can we do to get the Eagles a Super Bowl? It gets embarassing when a crack head can point to the score board and the Eagles have to limp out of the room with their tales between their legs. That's just not right.

No, I disagree with you PJ. Just like your president, there are lots and lots of drug users employed in the NFL. If doing illegal drugs meant you couldn't work in this country, your governement would look a lot different. Our professional athletes use illegal drugs and just because one of them managed to win 3 Super Bowls, that shouldn't exclude him from playing the game. I do understand the frustration in Philly of having to play against him, however.

I am all for second chances. I am not talking about the legality of anything. I am talking about the ethics of the Cowboys and their owner Jerry Jones. They tend to turn a blind eye to any deviant behavior all in the name of winning. Of course they have not done a very good job of winning the last 13 years or so.

Sure Irvin and all the other criminals have a the right to seek employment and I have no opposition to that right.

LoL @ "the ethics". We're speaking of a league that has employed murderers, rapists, child abusers, etc. and you're worried about a guy that has done recreational drugs? Ha Ha, talk about your sour grapes. The NFL is about money and winning, wake up from that fanrasy world you live in where you look to the NFL for morals and ethics. Next thing I know, you'll be telling me the NBA is the model for good bahavior. Ha Ha Ha Ha

In the 19 years that Jones has owned the Dallas Cowboys, he has won more SuperBowls than the Eagles have won in their history. Perhaps that's the main reason for your dislike of America's team. Look no further than your head coach on how not to raise your kids.

No sour grapes I liked quite a few cowboys players back in the day and I even like a few now.

With most sportsd its the fans of the cowboys I don't like. Most don't watch football outside of the cowboys games (usually they just check the boxscore and highlights of the cowboys games) and are nowhere to be found when the cowboys are down or in this current era when they are underachieving in the playoffs.

I always enjoy a friendly rivalry. Our very own cobra and I go back amd forth on sundays and have made a few wagers. Although I don't think he watches to many of the games. When the eagles and the cowboys played he was out having a fancy dinner or walking his poodle and I had to text him the results.
