If that occurred in one particular county in NJ, the kid would have arrested for assault.
Life's not the breaths you take, the breathing in and out that gets you through the day ain't what it's all about. It's the moments that take your breath away.

I replayed that video over and over trying to see how that could have been a accident.

Maybe it is just me but that looked as purposeful as possible.

That kid should have been DQ'd from the match and the rest of the season IMO. If that was in a championship I would vote for his ban from the entire next season IMO.

    Damn disgraceful!
If we don't fight hard enough for the things we stand for, at some point we have to recognize that we don't really stand for them.

Flagrant misconduct. DQ'd from that event and the next competition (at least here in CT).

If the ref called a slam and the defensive kid was injured, he can take the DQ or continue. If the ref called a flagrant misconduct, which it would be if it was intentional, there's no choice - it's a DQ.

I know this much - regardless of the ref's decision, it is highly unlikely that young man would wrestle again representing my school. Watch him strut around the mat after the slam - and listen to his friends in the stands. It was intentional. As a coach, I would not put up with it.
